ClipFest25
A celebration of Cliptography
What is Cliptography, you ask?
Cliptography is a broader concept than topiary, encompassing a more freeform approach to shaping plants and trees through pruning and clipping, without the constraints of specific rules or plant types. It’s about seeing the artistic potential in nature and shaping it according to the artist’s imagination.
Some have said that Cliptography is to Topiary as Banksy is to Rembrandt.
Last year’s inaugural ClipFest24 event was restricted to professionals only, members of the public and the press were not in attendance. By popular demand, we’re back for another round. This year we’re inviting keen gardeners, amateur enthusiasts, and just about any member of the general public who enjoys watching craftsmen & women at work, to come and see for themselves. You’ll be delighted, you’ll be encouraged and you too can actually take part in this year’s event – bring your own tools if you’re up for it!
You’ll be in the company of renowned professionals, novices and young people keen to learn all about Cliptography and its role in horticulture and to hone their own skills.
Gates open at 10am on Sunday 22nd June and you can stay for the whole day.
There’ll be food, beverages, wine and beer.
We’re running a HortiCultureClub all day to introduce the young ones to the delights of horticulture so mums and dads can relax and enjoy themselves.
Tickets are available at EventBrite
It’s £20 for 16+ year adults (plus booking fee) and just £10 for children aged 5-16 years.
The little ones go free.
Come and join us at Ichi-Coo Park to rest your eyes in shades of green.
